Niels Bohr's 127th Birthday

Niels Bohr (lahir di Kopenhagen, Denmark, 7 Oktober 1885 – meninggal di Kopenhagen, Denmark,18 November 1962 pada umur 77 tahun) adalah seorang ahli fisika dari Denmark dan pernah meraihhadiah Nobel Fisika pada tahun 1922.

Pada tahun 1913, Bohr menerapkan konsep mekanika kuantum untuk model atom yang telah dikembangkan oleh Ernest Rutherford, yang menggambarkan bahwa atom tersusun dari inti atom(nukleus) yang dikelilingi oleh orbit elektron.

Anak laki-lakinya, Aage Niels Bohr, juga penerima Hadiah Nobel.

Maria Montessori (Chiaravalle, Ancona, Italia, 31 Agustus 1870–Noordwijk, 6 Mei 1952) adalah seorang pendidik, ilmuwan, dokter Italia. Ia mengembangkan sebuah metode pendidikan anak-anak dengan memberi kebebasan bagi mereka untuk melakukan kegiatan dan mengatur acara harian. Metode ini kelak dikenal dengan Metode Montessori.
